Essential oils – discover the power of scents from nature!

The intense scents of nature are etched in memory forever – this is closely linked to the anatomy of the brain. When you smell a scent, the hippocampus, responsible for memories and emotions, is activated. For this reason essential oils are able to influence emotional states and trigger memories. The scent of lavender can recall childhood, while the scent of bergamot can bring to mind holidays in Italy. Mokosh essential oils are completely natural and their action is aromatherapeutic. In the range you will find, among others, cedar, eucalyptus, fir, patchouli, lavender, orange, rosemary, sage, ylang-ylang, tea tree and lemongrass oil. Each scent affects the senses and skin slightly differently. How and when to use essential oils?

How do selected Mokosh essential oils work?

Essential oils are essences extracted from plants. Wrapped in their pleasant scent, we can have a warming effect on the senses. Aromatherapy has a positive effect on well-being and can help reduce stress. Some scents allow thoughts to focus and support concentration. Others encourage action, reducing feelings of anxiety. Essential oils are also used in alternative medicine to treat various skin conditions.

How do selected essential oils affect well-being and skin? Each of them has unique properties.

  • Lavender oil relaxes, and in the evening helps you sleep (add a few drops of essential oil to your bath before bedtime). The scent can also ease migraine symptoms. Many people associate the scent of lavender with childhood, freshness and cleanliness. Bundles of lavender are still placed in wardrobes today, because they scare away moths and freshen.
  • Rosemary oil gives energy and refreshes strongly, while at the same time relaxing and soothing. This herbal scent is recommended for people who are stressed, as well as those who study, because it improves concentration and memory. Rosemary oil fights the fungi responsible for thrush, which is why it is sometimes added to scalp lotions.
  • Cedar oil soothes inflammatory skin conditions and acts as a support in treating acne. It also helps reduce stress and nervous tension.
  • Eucalyptus oil is sometimes used as an aid in treating upper respiratory tract infections (for inhalation). It has a disinfecting and antimicrobial effect.
  • Fir oil freshens the air, gives energy and improves mood. It helps ease muscle and joint pain. It supports recovery after physical exertion.
  • Patchouli oil is credited with an antidepressant effect. It improves mood and relaxes.
  • Orange oil has an energising effect and reduces feelings of anxiety. It also has an antioxidant effect on the skin. It supports the fight against cellulite!
  • Sage oil supports hormonal balance, especially in women during menopause. It is used in treating fungal infections of the skin and nails.
  • Ylang-ylang oil has an aphrodisiac effect. It strengthens libido and has a relaxing effect, improving mood.
  • Tea tree oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is used in treating skin infections and acne.
  • Lemongrass oil freshens the air, reduces unpleasant odours and has an energising effect.

How to use Mokosh essential oils?

All Mokosh essential oils are intended for external use only. Add 10 drops to a bathtub of water to prepare an aromatic bath. You can also add a cosmetic base oil, for example argan or jojoba, which will nourish and moisturise the skin. By combining 1–3 drops of essential oil with a base oil you will create an ideal massage oil that relaxes the muscles and oxygenates the skin.

How to use oils for aromatherapy at home? You can use aromatherapy burners or special diffusers, thanks to which the relaxing scent will fill the whole space. The natural scent of orange or a cedar forest spreading through the home can be an antidote to grey days. You will also find many oils in ready-made cosmetics and in Mokosh scented candles. Choose an essential oil from the repertoire of our favourite natural scents!
